Description

An ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilator) or Air to Air Heat Exchanger is designed to capture the cooling energy from exhaust air and transfer it to incoming fresh air through a high-efficiency heat exchanger. This process provides fresh, cool air without losing cooling energy, resulting in reduced workload for the existing air conditioning system and overall energy savings in the HVAC system.

ERVs facilitate energy recovery within residential and commercial HVAC systems. They help HVAC designs meet ventilation and energy standards, such as those set by ASHRAE, improve indoor air quality, and reduce the overall capacity required for HVAC equipment, thereby lowering energy consumption. Additionally, ERV systems maintain indoor relative humidity levels between 40-50%.
